Propanolol (Beta-blocker) + Antihistamine + Benzo's

I've heard of this CTB method of using blood pressure medication (Propranolol) with an antihistamine (old school drowsy one) to stop the body reacting to the toxic dose of the propranolol, and benzo's such as diazepam or clonazepam to relax the body and muscles to assist the propanolol to do its job.

I've heard you don't need heaps, but reading you need a couple of grams at least of the propranolol. Highest dose tablet is 40mg, so we are talking 50-100 tablets.

Can anyone add info to this to clarify?

I didn't think OD on propranolol was practical? I thought it was pretty safe which is why it's often prescribed.
