Discussion (Probably stupid) Has anyone created a living will.

Have you?, I might have to do partial instead of SN, I'm poor and I don't have the patience to finally get money so I can get SN. I'm very desperate to get out of this house and this seems to be the only way. So in case of anything, I can pull the plug if I end up injured.

I haven't because my husband knows i'd want him to pull the plug if any catastrophic happened to me, but I probably should, just in case.

not stupid at all. I considered a living will and a living trust. It is not worth it

Yes. I have both a healthcare proxy and designated a friend to be my power of attorney. Neither require using a lawyer in my state. Notary signature isn't necessary for both, but since it costs less than $10 to do here, I choose to do it. I feel this needs to be done to give me piece of mind that my family will have no decision making powers for me. This is especially important if I am unsuccessful at ctb and I become incapacitated. My friend of over 40 years will be calling the shots. If you have strong feelings who you want to be making those medical decisions for you- I'd think about doing this. If it's not something you're concerned about, then you're all set.

Yes I set up a will with my attorney. In my will I'm leaving everything to my mom, dad and sister.

I've thought about it, but I literally have no one so I'm hoping my method is successful and I don't have to have a random state social worker assigned to call the shots while I'm incapacitated. Scary thought.

I have PODs set up for both bank accounts so the money goes to my friend.
