Probabilities to survive using a gun?

I'll try to use a rifle but even though the chance of dying is high (specially if I'm pointing it towards my forehead) I've seen people survive which really gives nightmares.

Any help?

I heard it's better muzzle up in mouth. Forehead is a tough bone and bullet can slide away from brain

What caliber is the rifle? I think it's too awkward to shoot yourself in the forehead with a rifle. Most people shoot themselves in the head via the mouth, but odds of success increase as caliber size increases and type of ammo plays a significant role, also.

the problem is in that link they give the rifle but not the ammunition. i need to know the exact ammunition and rifle to have the same effect instant Death for me. there just isn't enough data so i have to take a risk that the particular ammo rifle or shotgun combination would will work. in general i think most rilfe and shotguns in the mouth aimed at the brainstem would do it for me. also to the side of head aimed at the brain stem. main thing is not to flinch . in the mouth less likely to flinch especially if grip gun with teeth deep in mouth. seems like 99% to me

Its really not complicated, a 12 gauge shotgun with slug ammunition will always kill you if the barrel is actually aimed at the brain, looks the same as the picture, exploded head.

Btw, thats not a "308 rifle", the name of the ammunition is 308 winchester and there are many rifles who can shoot it.

I like looking at stuff like that occasionally. I always think - if they succeeded, I can succeed too. My method failing is probably my biggest fear rn.

I read it's best to shoot yourself in the heart. No recovering from that. That's been on my mind lately.

Don't listen to any of these suggestion. What kills instantaneously is a shot aimed towards the medulla oblongata. Putting the barrel to the roof of your mouth is pointing upwards towards your frontal lobe. Taking the shot from that angle is what puts you on a feeding tube for the rest of your life.

Completely agreed. The forehead is not the aim. Damage there could be sustained with disability. The brainstem is the "heart" of the brain. It's between the ears, near the base of the skull.

The shotgun barrel must be inserted into the mouth at an angle of 45 degrees.
