Private courier or regular post?

I ordered N from Alehandro but I don't know which of them is safer regarding customs. He said a lot packages are lost in Mexico.

Seriously? And what if it get lost in Mexico? Problem is I'm going abroad for a long time and if I won't receive it I won't able to order again. I'm fleeing from my country (Israel) in case I get caught. But with a private customs are harder?
