I'm hoping to meet with a doctor soon to get a meto prescription for the SN, and I'm pretty nervous- I've never tried to get prescribed any medication that I didn't have a legitimate need for before, and I'm afraid they may call my bluff. Alternatively, they may try to give me a non-dopamine blocking antiemetic.
I know I should tell them that I'm often feeling nauseous and struggling with migraines, and that I should tell them I've heard metoclopramide is a good option, but I have zero plans if they do any further testing or ask other questions. What should I say if they ask about how long I've had these symptoms, or how frequently? If they ask why I think it should be meto over another OTC antiemetic, what can I say? What other questions I feel the more detailed a backstory I have, the better chance I can convince them to give me meto.
As an aside, I currently live in China, and I'll most likely use a translator when I go. I doubt this situation applies to the vast majority of people here, but if anyone knows of different approaches that Chinese doctors may try compared to Western ones, that could help. Thank you all!
