I'm new and struggling with many issues but getting my Nitrogen setup together as an insurance policy is my primary concern. I'm not looking to CTB immediately, but I know that it's an eventuality.

I am In the US, but tariffs have made shipping difficult and I have researched on this site that nitrogen tanks are difficult to obtain. Is this true? I have also read that you can use food grade nitrogen in tanks that are used in wine bars. Is this a viable option?

I have spent hours here researching this method and I know that I will have many questions. Thanks to any and all who offer advice. I'm just glad to have found you.

Tariffs shouldn't be an issue in the US. You can get the regulator and flowmeter from the jungle site and you can get the tank of gas from any welding shop or gas supplier. When you decide whether you want a hood, mask, or will make your own exit bag, you can easily find a supplier for that, too. I don't know what the food grade nitrogen tanks are for wine, but you need pure nitrogen and 40 cubic feet of it. The big thing is to make sure it's pure and not mixed with other gases. Same goes for argon or helium.

It's really that simple? And the jungle site? I will be looking in to the right one to order, but would welcome recommendations on a particular brand/model. (PM's welcomed) The ones I've seen. Have the attached nipple for the delivery tube, but I realize I may need a separate attachment. The exit bag is not an issue. I can assemble one in short order. I have severe anxiety and having my exit kit together will be the only thing that will help me keep things together for a bit longer. Right now I can't eat or sleep. Autistic ADHD makes this very difficult.

The jungle site = Amazon
Get it? Like Amazon Jungle....

Nipple for delivery tube?????

In the US, the tanks are CGA-580 connector, so you get a CGA-580 connector regulator. The regulator will reduce the working pressure of the tank, which is 2000 psi, to something usable. On the other side of the regulator is where you connect a flowmeter, usually 1/4" pipe thread. On the flowmeter is a "barb" fitting where you would connect a hose or tube of some kind. If you're going for something "fancier" like a high dollar mask of some kind, you may have to switch out the barb (just unscrews) for a different fitting that would allow you to connect the mask's hose.

Flowmeters are calibrated for specific gases. So, if you were to buy an Argon flowmeter, but are using Nitrogen gas, you would have to apply a "correction factor" to the setting on the flowmeter.

I apologize for the dense questions. I'm getting older and not functioning as well as I could be. Early dementia is a bitch. It's one of the reasons why I'm here, in fact. Thank you so much for the help. It will take me a bit to decipher everything I just need to get things together and run my kit by you guys for an extra layer of reassurance. Again, you have my gratitude.

I don't think your questions are dense at all. You really haven't even asked all that many questions, yet, really. I don't claim to know it all, but will help you as best I can. Or, at least, point you towards where you might find answers for something I am unable to answer.
