So what precautions do u take to make sure everything goes as planned?Except for not mentioning that you want to CTB that is. I am starting to be paranoid of beeing followed on my phone and/or laptop. I did make another email account that i used for placing order and for this site as well. I also installed VPN and moved to a different location. Is it also safer to open this site w TOR browser? But all of these were made just today as I was very unfamiliar with this site untill a week or so. Also, is it possible that even if I delete browsing history , the data can still be recovered by somebody else? I am afraid also that reseting my phone to factory settings will be very suspicios because of whats app. If someone tries writing to me on what app and the phone was reseted to factory settings, does it just appear like I am offline and did not receive that message- so only one tick? What else, what are you doing now/will be doing just before ctb?

I have TOR browser but don't use it for here unless I'm on 4G as my network provider blocks this site. I doubt anyone would go to such extremes to find out what you've been browsing. It's not like this site isn't already known as well.

I made a new email just to join this site. Opening this site in incognito will prevent it from being saved in the history. Tor helps but it isn't perfect. But it sounds like you're doing the right stuff. You don't have to reset until you're gonna ctb.

You'd be surprised. Some people really will go that far if you have a big enough target on you.

This site is on the clear web, its a taboo subject not illegal on the same level as some deep web marketplace. You can use TOR if you want to, a good vpn should be enough. Make sure you keep you vpn kill switch enabled, it will disable any connection incase your vpn accidentally disconnects. Some vpn provider offer better kill switch solution.

Use firefox incognito mode so you don't have to worry about clearing your history and other data everytime. Add extra plugins NO Script, Ublock origin, Https everywhere. And don't click on random links anyone sends you.

You can clear your activity history from google -
https:// myaccount.google.com/data-and-personalization
there is option to delete your history from google account and pause for future. You have to trust google on this. (if you cannot find delete option let me know)

Log out from google account, clear all chrome data, do a factory reset, uninstall, delete all temp files, reinstall chrome.

Worst case: You can change your gmail and disable your account on this forum and create a new one. PM a mod before you do it though.

P.S. use duckduckgo as default search engine in mozilla. And who wants to recover your info?

I use private browsing, I hide my method really well (even to this day, no one except myself and you all on here) such that no one IRL knows that I plan to CTB via firearm. Also, I password protect everything by default on my laptop and files and what not, also I keep my files hidden on a thumbdrive (flash drive). These are just a few examples of what I do to protect myself.

Recovering data is an interesting thing. Because if you mean after you ctb, and you're concerned, shy of physically destroying all electronic devices (which in itself would look suspicious, and then you'd probably have to shred, and melt them). And with a computer, you'd not only have to lose everything, you'd have to wipe the hard drive so there was no data left--so a blank hard drive with.... well here's the hard part... with SSD's you'd have to get a wipe thing from the manufacturer possibly for a secure erase for it or something, or there may be a built in thing for it otherwise.

Otherwise--you'd still have data that might be retrievable.

Even with clearing browser history, unless something is written over it (or if the browser actually writes over it, which maybe a bit different with SSDs), it could still be recoverable if someone really wanted to get the data.

Would people care to go to such lengths? probably not. Personally I would find electronic devices at factory settings or blank to be more suspicious and make me try to recover data, whereas if there were files, browsing history, etc, I'd just assume nothing. People know that devices are used, if it looks new, that sticks out, if it looks like someone has used it, it doesn't draw attention to it.

Plus google, firefox, for that matter the chromium engine is basically the backend to almost all browsers (edge, chrome, opera, any other than firefox practically), and data gets backed up online, sometimes the browsers want to link your data to your email or just prompt you to do it voluntary like for simplicity later. So who knows how many places your data/favorites/etc have been saved that you may have forgotten (granted I"ve cleared I think most of mine..).

I've been an IT security guy all my life, and used to work as a computer programmer but never thought my expertise would come in handy at a time like this. Do you know if your computers hard drive is a SSD or an optical drive? if its the latter (you can tell that it is if it makes small clicking noises) you will have to do some work to erase everything completely. If I had an optical drive I would look up how to open up my computer or laptop, then remove the drive, then physically destroy it. If it's a SSD which is more common these days you can do a simple factory reset and it should be ok. Phone storage works similar as well. If you need to wipe your phone you can follow guides like this: https://nordvpn.com/ja/blog/how-to-wipe-phone/

A lot of people wipe their phones because they want to sell it and make sure none of their private data gets recovered. Maybe you can tell them you are selling your phone if you think it will raise suspicion. I myself will be taking all these steps and more. I plan to factory reset and wipe the drives then sell my laptop and smartphone beforehand. I won't be posting here or connected to the internet at all when its time. I've heard lots of stories of authorities able to ask companies like google for gps data and other personal info to track you down in an emergency. Thats really only when someone is really desperate to find you or trying to stop your CTB like a family member. I hope their isn't an organization somewhere that is actively trying to stop people from killing themselves but you never know these days. The world is involuntarily turning into a surveillance state. But yeah if you're really confident with your method you can just leave everything the way it is, which i thought about as well, i won't care if the whole world saw what i did, its not like im going to see their reaction in the after life.

The things is that up untill today I have used chrome conected to my gmail account and although I manually deleted my history data now that doesnt mean anything because it is very easy to recover it if u know a little tech stuff. It happened to me a while ago when a friend of mine hacked my accounts and recovered all my browsing history although I have deleted it and changed all my passwords beforehand. So I know that everything I have been doing up until today and that is spending every sngle second on this site, is saved on my google and can be recovered no matter what I do. I dont know how to avoid that from happening or if there is anything that I could actually do. As of today I started using TOR and will continue to use this but this doesnt change what happened untill today. I swear google is the worst thing that could have happened to us.

First off if they did that, they aren't a friend of yours. The best thing to do is get away from Google over anything else. Something similar happened to me so I feel your pain.

Well it took me many years to learn how to get around all this and its a whole learning experience. The final solution for me though has always been to physically destroy whatever communication devices you have. If you are really concerned about being tracked down you will just have to get rid of all those devices. Theres a whole world out their that doesn't rely on the internet or computers. Maybe you can find it and not have to deal with this crap and live a few years longer. at least thats what im hoping for but I doubt it.

I am trying to understand how the history was deleted. Can you layout the procedure that you used to delete your data?
The basic delete all browsing history from begining on google chrome and then I uninstalled Chrome so that I will only use Tor from now on. But thats exacly what I did last time and all my browsing history was still recovered.

I use incognito mode that only opens with Face ID not a passcode. Anytime I close it , it opens on a blank page. When i ctb I'll just factory reset my phone. Never used laptop or tablet to search any methods so those are safe.

Did you followed my post above? You can clear data from google, with 2fa enabled it's not possible for normal person to look into your gmail.

In your case I would suspect your friend might have installed a RAT (virus) on your device. But i don't have all info so I cannot be sure.

Don't panic if it's just your friend who is bothering you.
