Discussion Prayer Requests..

Hey all,

If you hadn't already noticed I'm a Christian; I have a really strong relationship with God.
Unfortunately, I guess that doesn't make me immune from the everyday struggles of life + mental illness.
However, I've found that things sometimes get a little more manageable when I have people praying for me,
so I thought I'd offer..

Whether you're a Christian, or a Muslim, or a stark atheist, or agnostic, Satanist, whatever.. I'm happy to pray for people if they'd like to try something a little different.
So if there is anything you want to try prayer for, drop it here, or PM me (I'm not fussy).

You may even use this space for venting at God if you like, or ask questions about faith, I'm quite easy going.. and I get angry with God too, that's normal.

Although I'm not adverse to healthy religious discussion/exploration, I'm not going to cross the line into great religious debates on here, that wouldn't be appropriate or fair.
Respect my beliefs and I'll respect yours

I do believe we are referring to the same entity.

I pray that god shows us wisdom, unconditional love and light,
guide us towards our hearts desires with great perseverance,

I'm a Christian too (or I was a Christian). I felt like I couldn't do anything what the Bible said. I have no energy and feel like I can not satisfy god. I know that's not my mission, but I feel insufficient anyways.

I wish God would help me and at the same time I think I am the one that decided not to go his way. So why should he help me in the first place.

Wish you could pray for me that I find my way back. Have no one to ask at the moment.

I would offer to pray for you too, but I didn't pray for weeks.

I do not believe in ANY form of organized religion. Now with that said YES, there is a universal thought and so : I pray that ALL humans on this planet can get along, love and care for one another. As we progress forward please let everyone hold hands and smile and go into the future as ONE! We are ALL ONE PERIOD! This earth is just a nest for humans and we either will go out and explore or we will wind up like the dinosaurs and not be. PLEASE lets all love and respect each person as a building block to the future. Love and caring and peace to all my global family members. ALL of you are the ONLY family I have, and I love everyone here with all my being!!

Don't believe in a God, but sometimes I pray for the heck of it. I hope that my wife doesn't take my death too hard and that she is able to find the happiness that she couldn't find with me.

I know for certain that the God described by the bible doesn't exist though.

I'm a weak agnostic atheist - we don't know if any God exists (I don't try to offend you, take into consideration that belief =/= knowledge) but I don't doubt we can discover this in the future. Considering that I chose not to believe in any God. Besides I tried to return to Catholic Church recently but I am just not able to believe again. It doesn't mean I shouldn't respect your religion! If believing makes you feel better then I'm 100% ok with that! Respecting other religions is the most significant duty of an atheist.
May I ask what Christian Church do you belong to? Are you Anglican?

I am Anglican!

I'm fairly open-minded. Obviously I believe what I believe is true, but I wholly accept that other people have different experiences with faith/ God/ church/ whatever, and so if you're an atheist and that's what you believe to be true, that's fine by me :) I'm not going to preach to people who are happy and confident in what they believe.

I suppose when I use the word 'prayer' perhaps for an atheist that would equate to sort of more generally reflecting and wishing the best for each other? I can pray to God on behalf of others if they want, but if they don't then I can send good thoughts and happy vibes without involving God.
I don't want anyone to feel pressured into sharing my beliefs because that's not respectful on my part - or fair to anyone else here.

Perhaps this could also be a space where we can share our wants and wishes and just be safe in the knowledge that there's someone else here who's wishing that for them too?
