Hi,

*Disclaimer - not for people who don't like blood or needles!*

I've only just started to look at this but, how about inserting a hypodermic needle into an artery and then bleeding out? You can easily buy needles on eBay etc.

I imagine a large dose of aspirin + beverage of choice would help with blood thinning and vasodilation - even some Viagra (not joking - that's what it does).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasodilation
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticoagulant

I don't know what size (diameter) of needle you'd need yet. I also don't know how to insert a needle. Both these things can be researched.

EDIT: - A bit of a read, but a resource - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK138661/

Still looking into this - thought I'd throw the idea out there.

Let me know your thoughts!

Maybe multiple needles in different arteries?

Yup, good thought.

I imagine veins are easier to insert needles into - but the flow rate probably won't be sufficient, more chance of blood clotting (unless you take some heavy duty thinners) etc.

Arteries are probably your best bet. If you go with this method make sure it is an actually viable method first.

Sure I stumbled across a blog entry by a guy who tried to exsanguinate himself with a vacuum pump. Think his veins collapsed. Shit was bleak. Anything with blood gives me the heebie jeebies.

Wasn't thinking quite that, but shall add a disclaimer!

I dunno man. Bleeding out sounds like a pretty agonizing way to go. When people do bleed out, it's usually due to large gaping wounds or severely severed arteries. Not sure if needles would do the trick.

Like I said, it's just a thought as I've not seen it mentioned before (cutting yes, needles in this way - not so much).

Personally, I've got my main method put together - but it doesn't hurt to think of others just in-case.

After losing a certain amount of blood you could fall unconscious, thus lose control over what's happening. Also this method is highly dependant on your blood pressure. I've been donating blood a few times now and often noticed people who needed to have an extra pump attached to the container to keep their blood flow going because of their blood pressure (I assume). Blood pressure is only going to decrease after losing blood, so I'm not sure if this method would work out.

This is what I meant in chat last time. If you don't have a pump it will coagulate eventually and if you do the vein will collapse.

Arteries are on yet another level.. I'm not squeamish but I don't think I could do that.

I've heard it feels good though. Someone I know almost bled out after an accident and they said it was "great" and totally painless. You just get tired.

Not a very viable method in my opinion but interesting.
