So as a lot of you know I am going through a custody battle to see my 20 month old daughter.

Yesterday I bought my daughter Easter and my father took it up to my ex's house. 2 hours later the police arrived at my door. My ex reported me too the police because " I apparently know she is seing someone else and its not fair on the new guy that I am seen giving gifts to the house" WHAT THE FUCK !!

I dunno if she is saying and doing this to hurt me as she knows I want back with her, as her friend/ neighbour told me there has been no guys or anything near her house.

I dunno what to think or do now that I cant even buy my daughter gifts.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Custody hearings aren't divorce court, and I trust she won't be allowed to prevent you from giving gifts to your child. You still have to reach that point, though, and I am cognizant of how frustrating and painful that can be.

Did the police actually tell you to desist sending gifts to your child? If not, I'd carry on just as you are, without doing anything that could seem threatening.

That is heart breaking. Maybe now it's not possible to show how devoted of a dad you are but eventually she will get to know you when something changes.

It feels like there's something missing from this story.

Why would the police show up for having sent gifts? Did it violate a restraining order to do so?

Were the police the ones who relayed the quoted message?

Hi Mate, there is absaloutly nothing missing from the story and there is restraining order or anything, I foolishly cheated months ago, so she is out to get me back and using my daughter as that. The police quoted saying " she has complained that you have sent unwanted gifts to the house, its just to say to stay away" I said I hadn't dropped them of it was my dad they replied " I know she is being difficult with you and not letting you see your daughter but we have to be seen telling you as she does not want them" it was literally easter eggs.

Then she text my step mother today saying what I said in my first post about another guy, and that I should have been faithfull instead of an easter egg.

That is the story and it was very very foolish of me I know, but it shouldn't stop me seing my daughter? But that's what she is doing to hurt me. During the time I " cheated " we had a fall out and weren't speaking for 2 weeks. But she still views it as cheating and its very wrong of me I know and I regret it trust me,
