  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I'm in my twenties and I've been depressed and suicidal my whole life. I just don't know how much longer I can keep going. It never gets better. Things only get worse and worse and I can't see a way out. I really don't want this to be my whole life. I don't want to waste any more time. Please god somebody help me please

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. I can't imagine how heavy this must be for you, but I want you to know that your feelings are valid, and I'm here for you.
We can talk if you want/ if it will make you feel better. You are not alone. <3

i'm also strugglling with suicidal thoughts recently.if you are taking medication,SSRIs could probably intensify the urges. according to my experience, stay away from those who Persuade you to stay alive without any logic all the time cause they dont understand you at all.and you can also talk to me if you want

SSRIs and SNRIs made things worse for me, but Wellbutrin seems to be doing something.

I'm still pretty down and everything is grey, but I do notice it's easier for me to get out of bed/work/study/keep some sort of routine.

I noticed the thread doesn't have the answer to this, but depression is possible to overcome. I don't have the experience myself but I'm sure of it; if not, I wouldn't have tried recovery over and over again (and successfully recovered twice).
Don't feel more pessimistic because none of these replies say a definitive answer, probably because we ourselves don't know it either way.

But part of recovery is to keep self-confidence (not to be confused with positivity — confidence in that you'll eventually recover successfully). I hope your life gets better, i've been depressed all of my life but if I'm convinced that I'll eventually CTB, trying recovery first won't hurt or waste my time.

its the exact same case with me. according to me,there is no way out for me. There is no cure to depression. I just want CTB

I personally have had no such luck. However, your situation could be very different.

If you have people in your life then reach out, ask them if they are open to talk. Or if you'd prefer to keep these feelings on the down low then just say you'd like to spend more time with them. If you don't and you haven't tried then start looking.

Good luck to you, I wish you the best.

I have no idea what are your circumstances, and I can't see the future, so I'm not going to tell you that you will get better. I don't know, nobody knows.

What I can tell you, however, it's that a lot of people have recovered from depression and from being suicidal. That's a fact. So no, depression is not always forever.

Good luck. If you need advice or to vent, I will try my best to help.
