What are the chances of putting a plastic bag over your head and accomplishing death? If it will, what type of bag do I need and is it painful?
Thank you!10 minutes of suffocation without unconsciously passing out is going to be hell, I would do more research on it first and listen to others to verify if this method is good
How long did you stay without taking off the bag?
Why is it so painful, does anyone know what mechanism works when suffocation occurs? How could this method be effective? In PPH book talks about it like it was easy and pain free...It's not possible without at least binding your hands and suffocating is probably one of the most painful methods. I tried it about 11 years ago with drugs and ended up failing before handcuffing myself.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Much appreciated. There's a method in Final Exit that includes a plastic bag and a lot of drugs (benzos, opiates, but don't quote me). I'm so sorry for your pain. I think just a bag over your head would be a terrifying way to go. I understand the desperation but everyone deserves a peaceful end. And unfortunately, most of us need to jump through hoops to get that. And even THEN SI sits and waits, ready to pounce.
I have many loose ends to tie up. And I fear I will break before I'm able to complete my to-do list. Every day when I wake up and start to panic and cry that my injury wasn't a bad dream, I take some time to breathe and repeat "self-deliverance." And this calms me enough to get up and function in whatever capacity I am capable.
Thinking of you today.
Thank you Dot, but dont you get unconciouss when the O2 finish in the bag?U wld b brthng in co2 whch wld mke ur whle bdy panic

No idea. I tried it a few times. Maybe 30 seconds to 2 minutes? But I didn't look at the clock. Actually, since it was more just for fun and trying than a serious attempt, I didn't even block the airways, so I still got air. But it's a nice euphoric feeling it can give, I wonder where it comes from. Maybe the lack of oxygen intoxicates or something. How long did you stay without taking off the bag?

Which methods could be better?I tried it to evaluate it as a possible method... It was terrible. As I used up all the oxygen, with each breath the bag would cling to my face and that was annoying. After the second or third time, SI made me panic and that was nothing short of terrifying. There are much better methods.
Wearing a hat with a brim may stop the bag sticking to your face. Maybe wearing a face mask would be more comfortable than feeling the plastic against your face too. You could mix some citric acid and baking soda in the bag - I've read a few success stories about people who have done this. You may be able to combine this method with partial hanging too - that's my plan at the moment. There are plenty of stories about people having success using this method. However, like most methods, there are stories of successes and failures. Thanks Manaaja

Been there, done that. Important thing is to secure hands to body and attempt at lying on stomach. There is risk for convulsions which can cause you to remove bag. Mixing the citricacid inside bag can be little tricky since you have to keep hands out. I think easier would be to order small 500g CO2 bubble machine can from Amazon. This way you could fill bag with pure carbon dioxide which isnt too uncomfortable to breathe through mouth and causes unconsciousness under a minute.Wearing a hat with a brim may stop the bag sticking to your face. No, because sleeping pills don't always work with the plastic bag and painters mask(N95) and rubber bands around the neck--The book Final Exit mentions this method, including taking beta-blockers an hour before and an anti-nausea product, but you're suffocating yourself, so whether you get to sleep or stay asleep is a big gamble--Nitrogen is much easierI thought that it would be painless with a lot of sleeping pills.
Nitrogen--Already tested it, much easier and quicker as per the OximeterThanks Manaaja
