An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
Hey, lurker for a few months here, really just joined to ask a few questions. Been thinking once I'm ready to go, Id duct tape a pillowcase around my head to keep myself from ripping the plastic bag off due to SI. Would this be viable enough, or would it still be unable to stop me from ripping it off/open?
you're going to rip that shit off. I'm going rope and easily kickable object under my feet. I think the only way to get over the SI is to kinda put yourself in a position where SI can't help. I've got myself a ratchet strap as well as this really solid rope, I don't think either is going to give out. Tie that bad boy from a height et viola. They have a really good post on here about self strangulation that I stole a lot of the specifics from. Good luck.
funnily enough I've got the rope around me currently to prep the correct length for a hangman's knot, I'm literally working on the same problem myself if you would like to message me for assistance or to brain storm while my brain is still storming lol

I must admit I thought about doing this after having no success with my original exit bag idea. I contemplated it for weeks. SI is the problem. I have heard of people on psychiatric wards being successful with just a plastic bag so it's not impossible. Also heard quite a few older people have used this method but I think with the accompaniment of drugs. I thought if I was to do this method . I would need to : use two bags, duck tape the bag around my neck and handcuff my hands behind my back. After thinking about it and researching I hate the feeling of suffocation. I have had times where I couldn't breathe and it was so scary. So I can't see myself doing it now I know there can be slightly more comfortable methods. I would not recommend it to be honest. Though i understand how desperate a person can be to leave.
I sincerely hope things get better for you. ♥ ✌

I don't think it would help as your survival instinct would just kick in.
I thought about plastic bag with a lot of ductape and above that use a bublewrap and try to keep taping around my neck and face to make it harder. Unfortunately i know that it's not a viable way for me to fo out.
