Help Planning to eventually cbt with a train, but question

So as you have read, I plan on cbt'ing with a train, I'm fully aware it's a selfish way to die, and it was supposed to be a last resort but I've given up. I want to ensure death but I'm worried the cowcatcher/pilot at the front of all the trains I've seen is only going to get my head stuck, injure me and/or massively 'push' me off the train tracks

Is the pilot at the front of the train going to interfere with my attempt?

In regards of its effectiveness, which depends a lot on when you receive the impact. + also the type of train I don't think I mentioned then cos they said theirs was a high speed train. If yours isn't, that lowers the fatality substantially.
Like I said there the train can lower its speed if its sees you, it depends on your positioning, timing and a lot of factors. It's not as easy as it might seeem and there are risks of injury or painful death. Thats just this site's trademark with its methods, best to be honest with risks.

I really really would not recommend you take that method. I understand the desperation. But not just out of its risks, but the trauma it can cause on others. If there are witnesses that messes people up Bad, it's gory, if not just for that pilot. I would never call a suicidal person selfish, because I know you are just in tremendous pain and desperate. I would prefer if you didn't do it that way and I have to say that.
Hold on if you can, maybe to other methods, maybe to anything else that might not involve death. Don't know how your situation is rn or if those doubts and conflict still exist in you. Whatever the case, I cannot recommend this method at all. If you want to vent or chat or anything please do. If not just take these days as easy as you can, It doesn't seem it'll be easy based on what you said, but still all my hugs to you <3

I'm not an expert by any means, but I think a 50+ tonne brick (which is essentially every train) hitting you at over like 75 kph will always be deadly.

That said, I'd like to encourage you to look for other ways to CTB. I get that trains are oftentimes the last resort, but there are also other relatively secure and accessible methods that don't involve a train operator.

Is the pilot at the front of the train going to interfere with my attempt?

It all depends on location and speed.
For location I mean, do you plan to lay down, stand or timed jump?
And to that, are you going to lay/stand/jump on the rail or centre of the tracks?

For the speed, this is based on cars which as you know are far smaller and far lighter.

Found this from a UK road charity and these stats seem to be consistent with other sites/pages.

The chance of a pedestrian surviving
If you hit a pedestrian they have a much greater chance of surviving if your speed is lower.

If you hit a pedestrian:

• at 40 mph there is a 90 percent chance they will be killed.
• at 35 mph there is a 50 percent chance they will be killed.
• at 30 mph there is a 20 percent chance they will be killed.
• at 20 mph there is a 2.5 percent chance they will be killed.

To answer your question though, I don't think the cowcatcher will interfere with your attempt.
I've seen the gruesome videos of people laying here, there and everywhere after a train attempt, you will have a very high chance of dying.

As others have said, please try and have some compassion or understanding for the driver. Afterall, they're the ones that are killing you and all they can do is pull the emergency brake and flinch. I can't convice or encourage you to make any decisions, but if it were me I'd re-think this option.

They'll do what they can to avoid killing you, but in most trains that just means braking. I'd do the same as others and caution about the method, even if only due to what will likely happen if you do get hit and don't die, or even don't get hit but clearly tried to. The cost of trying and failing could be severe and public.
