Hi everyone, I wanted to share my cbt plan, in part to feel like I can have a place to talk about it and interact with others, in part to identify any blindspots I might have/things that could go wrong...
I am so thankful to have found this forum.
I'm going to be attempting in the US, though I'm not a citizen. I'll arrange that the N be waiting for me at a FedEx shipping center. I'll have to show my ID there--not one tied to a residence, because it'll have to be a passport. I know that the N will probably make it through as I've seen many on here who have been able to receive it in the US, but I'm worried about getting caught/legal repercussions, particularly because I'll have to use my real name. Any thoughts on how to stay discreet/safe as possible?
This is also going to require a very specific timeline of the N arriving, because I'll only be in the country for about a week. So I'm going to have to time my correspondence with A carefully. Still, A has been very helpful so far and willing to work with me.
I'm planning to cbt at a hotel. I'll leave the N package unopened and in a safe until I need to use it. When I cbt, I'll leave three notes to people I care about, and some $ for housekeeping that finds me. The night that I do it, I'll message those back home saying I'm going to be sleeping in, so that they can't do anything to stop me until it's too late. I'll tell those who are in the US and know I'm there that I am meeting other friends. I might ask the front desk not to disclose my information to those who might come search for me, just to be certain I give the N enough time to do its work.
The meto I am still working on getting, but I have a couple of ideas.
I'm going to try and spend my last few days with an open heart and a free spirit. I think once everything is in place and ready to go I will feel very calm. I look forward to that feeling.
Would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions. It helps to know we're in this together.
