Good question. Thanks for asking.
I'm trying to make sense of my increasing desire to end my life. And I want to know what the perspectives are out there. I am contemplating what will be next, what are the repercussions, etc.
There are many interesting and some loving views out there. I thought it might help others to consider and contemplate and perhaps find peace and be informed.
Well said. This.Is.My.Struggle. Do I ride this crap show out to the end while my health fails and I become a burden. I'm the matriarch and everyone depends on me currently, so the roles would be reversed. I can't imagine losing my memory - my ability to recognize anyone while becoming frail and needy. Some of the perspectives I read are on the concept of karma.
Our suffering in this life is the burning out of karma necessary to find increased peace and move towards the light either later in this life or another.
Suicide cuts short that process causing us to inevitably continue the process of resolving that karma, plus the added pain that our self-inflicted death causes on others.
Is this suffering then something to just tolerate and burn through.
I don't know.
