There is, however, the benefit of perspective on what actually matters, and why.

If you are obviously, out-of-closet suicidal you're more likely to make friends quick as everyone 'wants to help.' It's nice, especially in my case where friendships and relationships have a lifespan of 3 months tops before my actual personality becomes clear to them and it's all over.

It makes sense. From their point of view, it's easier to comfort a new, blank-slate person than someone who is progressively irritating and exhausting you over a short while.

I'm still afraid of it. Mainly just any pain/SI. Scared to feel myself suffocating.

Perk, not giving a shit about the future or other peoples' opinions. No pressure to plan for old age (mine will be awful if I stay too long so I gotta ctb sooner or later).

Well the only one of those that has actually happened is the car thing and the only thought that came to my mind is oh fuck, not another repair bill.

i`m the same as a woman pulled out on me i slammed her into a van righting all 3 off , i saw the horror on her face and i am sure she lip read me saying (stupid fucking cow) , i reversed out of the wreckage parked up and calmly rang to tell the appointment i was going to i couldn't make it , while everyone around me was panicking and trying to pull her door open lol .... stupid small cars mine was big so i repaired it hers was about a foot wide , i drove mine to my mechanic and we stripped it and i bought a new front end lol

Less worrying about the future, about the necessity of working my ass of for 35 years to get a mediocre pension. Indifference towards global, and local wars and crisis.
The opportunity to ctb in case shit will went straight to the South Pole.
Slow and steady dissolution of harmful, conforming habits.
Reevaluation of priorities, of what is important in life.

I don't know how common it is among our kind, but overall I feel better off suicidal than non-suicidal, and I'm glad to have standards for the living.

I started to get excited over small things, like beauty of flowers around me, warmth of the sand underneath my bare feet. Someone told me I look so happy and they envy me, lol.
Became more affectionate towards my friends, learned how to lean on myself, letting the past and carefully planned future go.
