Title. I could use some suggestions and comfort. I know a lot of folks here have chronic illness and I am really struggling with the pain and distress of constant nausea and frequent vomiting. My stomach just hurts so fucking bad. The only thing that helps so far is deep breathing.

Try ginger tea, otherwise buy antiemetics. There are also meds used for that off label like low dose mirtazapine or quetiapine that can treat nausea. Or other antihistamine meds. Ask your doctor.

Do you know what the root cause of your nausea is? For me it's ulcers and I have to take meds, drink lots of water, and eat bland foods in order to not make things worse. I do have Ondansetron which is pretty good for nausea and works quickly when I'm in a bad spot. Otherwise things like the cooling effect of A/C or a fan helps, as does dunking my head in cold water or taking a cool shower. I have read that coldness actively combats nausea and it works somewhat for me.

Not very well, unfortunately. I drink Pepto Bismol like it is Diet Coke and eat TUMS like they are Skittles. When that doesn't work and I actually start throwing up and/or have the dry heaves then I move on to the prescription stuff -- zofran. Also, if it is the result of cluster headaches -- 2 really large ice packs, one to lay on my pillow to cool the back of my neck and another to lay across my forehead/face in a pitch black, quiet room -- will lessen the temptation to dig your eyeballs out with a grapefruit spoon, and take the edge off the nausea.

I am so sorry you are going thru this. It is miserable.

I don't have nausea, but I get dizziness periodically when my eyes lose focus and blur over or when my sense of depth perception shifts too quickly. When I am dizzy I try to lie down and put a pillow over my head if I can, or just sit down, shut my eyes, and slow my breathing if I am in public. Hugs
Have you tried putting pressure on it? It doesn't make it go away, but whenever my eyes hurt a lot it helps to put my face in a pillow

For instant but very brief relief I put a little bit of salt on my tongue.

The most impactful method that has really changed my life for the better in this regard, is desensitize your tongue: you can do that with a simple toothbrush. It's not permanent so you have to do this on a regular basis. It can be embarrassing but I also bought an adult toy for this only purpose: it makes wonders (before that I literally couldn't even go outside my house without gagging).

By the way the cause of my nausea has always been from anxiety so I don't know how useful this can be for other situations.
