I have been attending a psychologist for 2 weeks now and he now recommended me a psychiatrist for the next Monday, I am scared because of reports from members who said that the ctb's desire increased after starting to take medication, what can I do to avoid this? I just want to make this damn pain stop, and if that happens it would be like putting the icing on the cake so that everything is destroyed

do research on the medication they give you. keep yourself informed. another piece of advice is if you can have someone you trust watch you in case theres something you dont notice. i understand the fear, but keep yourself informed and remember that what effects someone one way might not effect someone else the same way. i do my own research and go into the appointment with suggestions. feel free to pm me if you ever need anything

. A video that can help inform u about psych drugging. I'm not saying some of them don't help in the short term. The dangers are that u can develop permanent changes to the brain over time. I have a friend who cannot come off a certain SSRI and I forget which one he said. He gets body fidgeting or is unable to stop uncontrollable body movements if he does not continue to take it at least every few days. He has to have some in his system and cannot come off.

Research very well the medication, not every med has life wreaking effects but most do IMO specially SSRIs, antipsychotics and benzos in some cases. I would look for other avenues like ketamine, shrooms microdosing, lifestyle changes, etc... instead of psychiatric drugs. You can Google innercompassinitiative.org, they have lots of info on psych drugs, also Google Dr. Peter Breggin (Harvard psychiatrist), and maybe also Dr. Peter GĆøtzsche. Mad in America is also another good website.

WARNING! Do not take any anti-psychotics whatsoever. They will take you under and completely destroy you. You do not have bipolar disorder. You do not have schizophrenia. You do not even have scizoaffective disorder. You have some depression and anxiety. Take a small amount of an anti-depressant as well as an anti-anxiety pill if needed. I have paid dearly to learn these lessons. Please listen to me.

friend I showed a printout of your last message to my psychiatrist and she said that the portion that will receive me is very small and is only to improve sleep, but still she prescribed me a Risperidone 02mg antipsychotic, she wants me to cut the halved tablet and I take it every 21 hours at night, and sertraline for depression 50mg 1 tablet. how much did your psychiatrist prescribe for you and for how long? did you mix it with other remedies?

I got more suicidal after starting on sertraline. Massively so. But I think it's because prior to taking it I had a big fear of death, even panic attacks over it. Sertraline got rid of all my panic and therefore my fear of death, and then it seemed like I could clearly see what I really felt about my life without fear clouding my judgement. And for me that will be ctb at some point. But that's only my experience.

Any news? If you have just depression and anxiety, I'd expect a SSRI, something like Prozac or Zoloft.
If you're bipolar lithium or lamotrigine.
Psychiatrists are kind of predictable.
The internet is full of people whose lives have been ruined by those medications. That may be true but they seem to be a minority. Some people claim they've saved their lives, other found great relief from their depression, and others had no harm of benefit.
That's what I can tell you from my experience and research
I would be particularly cautious if you have an active sexual life you value

I wouldn't take any medication. Causes so many side effects and so many problems. Just isn't worth it.

Medication affects everyone differently. I have not had an overall positive experience with psychiatry, but I would suggest you give it a try. You can always stop taking meds if you decide they aren't for you.

If the psychiatrist will prescribe medication it can make things better, the same, or worse. It's not an exact science and it's up to you if you want to try it or not.

Risperidone 02mg antipsychotic,
Just something to watch out for. I was on risperidone for a month on 2 separate occasions (a month each time). And both times it made me more suicidal. Just remember if you ever feel the need to stop your medication, explain the way you feel to your psychiatrist and they should help you come off the medication depending on how long you've been on it and other factors.

I have had the book thrown at me by these quacks over the years. What the hell is the risperidone for? It is not for sleep. I can guarantee you that. No seriously, do you see things, do you hear things? Is the television/radio telling you what do? Tell her to take the risperidone because before you know it you'll be hooked as these drugs play with the dopamine in your brain similar to how heroine makes you feel good.
