Venting People online

People online are honestly just so ugh as of late~
I haven't been accused of catfishing in like years, and I literally got accused of it twice by total randoms who dm'd me first and almost immediately accused me of catfishing~ >_< And I never even said I was a girl (I am btw) in the first place! :((( then, one blocked me, and the other is ghosting me, so it's like~ well, you sound like terrible people, and I probably shouldn't talk to you, but I wanted to at least give you a chance to prove that you're not that...
and ugh~ there's all these people too, who are like~ you really need to do this! you really need to do that! and it's like~ but I don't want to~ >_< nuuu~ you must! you only exist in my screen, so I'm still not going to but just gimme a break pls~ >_<
I want to think people are nice, but they just really, really aren't... :( I know that's true, and I have known it for years... people are evil~ but well, innocent until proven guilty~ but it's always guilty~ :(

It's annoying, I created an alt on a different site and some users said stuff like "can I see your pic", just because the alt had a female sounding name or smth.

That alt was used to try and detect suspicious users in a 'server' I run. Yes, it was only some users who interact like that... but still, annoying. My only hope is the alt will reduce the amount of nuisance messages received in my 'server'.

i stopped expecting anything exceptionally worthwhile from people, especially online. being a girl just makes it worse for us. i used to use "boyish" usernames so the creeps would overlook me.

people online and in real life, interpersonal differences are sometimes too much, the clash of subjective ideas and preferences.
people may argue about anything within the realm of subjectivity
subjective entitlement at a workplace- if they think they are the best worker at the restaurant (may or may not be justified) then they will feel more entitled to empathy and a higher salary, but others may disagree.
subjective interpersonal disagreements in hygiene (subjective flossing standards, oh you dont do it twice or once a day? nasty ) i dont personally floss btw which i need to.
subjective interpersonal disagreements on how a room/house should be managed with a room-mate or significant other
subjective interpersonal disagreements on the meaning of "friend" I told someone I wasnt their friend because im not interested in knowing them till death do us part, didnt have time to invest in him personally, or was interested in managing settling our differences. he got angry at me and i barely knew him at all. "friend" is a powerful word, and i dont want to be obligated to the responsibility it came with to call someone that especially if we barely knew eachother.
managing subjective interpersonal disgust. someone who is trying to get close to you may enjoy farting around you, and you hate it.
subjective interpersonal disagreements on philosophical world views. you can disagree on religion, be on the opposite end of the spectrum politically, etc, if they are a friend/ significant other, you can easily leave them unless they become a stalker, if they are your parents, its worse because you need to bear with them until youre financially stable enough to cut them off which isnt easy these days.

also all of these catfishing accusations are insane. whenever im online i just view other people as anonymous characters that i will never know.

and its really dumb if people ask for proof of identity, they are not entitled to know about who you are irl , then again i dont really want to say im superior to these people because im probably ignorant in my own ways that im completely unaware of because ..... well im unaware of my own ignorance in those cases.

People like this make me wanna stop socializing and isolate, it's really annoying.. all this unfrendliness, hostility, persecution and all for no reason at all :/ I wish people could be just nice instead of being another factor to add to sadness and pain in our lifes.

Everyone assumes that you have bad intentions too, like no, we're having an online conversation on message boards most of the time, we don't do back and forths, we just send a message wait 40 minutes, get a message and then go back and forth and have a 3 hour convo with bits and pieces instead of a 5 minute one because you can't interject and ask questions.

For online convos to work as well as irl or vocal, they need to be like the counting games we have where everyone just responds immediately. More like discord chat rather than forum chats. This is why I hate reddit personally. There was one time where a user said that they absolutely hate people on a depression subreddit and they got dogpiled, I tried debating people and someone literally said "I just browse reddit on the toilet and felt attacked I'm not even depressed". THEN WHY ARE YOU ON THAT SUBREDDIT.

At least with discord and some other services, one can curate who is added to a group chat (invite only groups where the admin controls who is invited can be cool)... which tends to help reduce the nuisance users.

As for the subreddit, reddit has a recommendation algorithm that pulls random ppl into random subreddits... still, that person could have responded in a better way.

PS: I'm male, tho when I picked a neutral looking nick, some ppl assumed I was female, and some of those users also acted odd.
