I feel like being looked on everytime I am on the street. Im pretty much a normal guy. I dont have a face tattoo. I notice mostly when I am driving. People are always on the sidewalk. Looking at you. I am from Brazil, I think there´s something with that. Even writing it I feel that it wont be quite recognized. I feel that I am watched, not all the time, but a lot when I go out. People always looking at you weird. I guess I may be a bit paranoid (more like I dont like being looked on the street) but you feel that way or similar?

I'm the same but mine is due to paranoia. I stop looking at people now as I was freaking myself out.

I feel like people are looking at me and judging me left and right. It's hell and gives me panic attacks. That's why I prefer to stay silent and alone.

It's gotten to the point now that I KNOW people are looking at me. Before it used to give me panic attacks, now Im just such an angry numb person that I zone it out. Also I have piercings, tattoos, different color hair so im sure that helps. I smile really big at kids sometimes which im sure scares them.

I'm having the same thing. If you don't look at people, you don't see them looking at you. In fact, this awareness creates a paranoia.

I feel that way too. I don't know if I'm just paranoid or what, but I hate it. I do stand out somewhat, since I'm not some lily white American like most people around me.
But either way, I try to stop looking at others and just ignore them as much as possible. I hate people anyway.

I empathise completely, that's one the main reasons I avoid going out. Everyone staring, whispering and laughing at me. I never know if it's paranoia or real. It freaks me out, and I start to get panic attack.

Nah, I wouldn't notice even if someone is actually looking at me. I also wouldn't notice if entire streets disappeared. I'm completely locked up trying to solve an unsolvable problem in my head. Also don't even look at people's faces for reactions when I am 'on stage' presenting anything.

I used to be uncomfortable with that. Now I just do not give a fuck. They can go and fuck themselves for all I care.

When you're paranoid, your mind will work frantically to confirm what it already holds to be true.

I used to have panic attacks going to the store, and I was convinced everyone was staring at me. But once the panic had subsided, I looked at the situation logically and realized there was no way every single person had some random animosity towards me, a stranger. The human mind is pretty extraordinary in its ability to cloud our perceptions and make connections that don't really exist.

Yes. This is why I hardly leave my house anymore. Although, I'm sure the isolation and lack of human interaction only increases the paranoia and perpetuates the cycle.

Almost everybody look at each other. There's many reason why, of course. But I think we all search for some kind of normal behavior, to adapt better. People are different (thank God), and most of us embrace this. I also look myself in when I'm out. I try to walk as I own the world, I listen to "funny" music, that makes me smile.

Yeah sure I look at people for various reasons, just don't think about who's looking at me. Maybe it's because I'm secure deep down, despite a trillion superficial insecurities.

I think one of the reasons I don't go out anymore with the people I would socialise is that they make a comment, some may think its kindness but it hits home. I used to present myself quite well, well groomed, clean and decent clothes. Now I don't, I can't be bothered.

I'm always getting stared at. i use to hate hate hate it. i'm 6'1 female i have very long bright blue hair. so i stand out like a torch where i walk.. i get so self conscious over it. to the point where many hands start to sweat and i get nervous. my voice starts to break and i general become a nervous wreck. I've always been like this and i think it's just from trauma at school and I've never been able to shake it. at school. i was always pointed to a laughed at so. yeah i guess I'm still got a school girl mindset. frigging sucks

Sounds very much like Katharine Hepburn--one of the great beauties of our time. She apparently developed a phobia of eating in public. Like you, she was so striking that she could not escape attention.

I'm either invisible to people or they laugh at my expense due to my looks.

I hate when walking and a car comes towards me and i cant see the driver due to reflection but i can feel them looking at me.

I also hate when im the only one waiting for the bus and as the bus approaches i find it awkward not knowing whether to look at the driver/bus/ground/sky as it comes closer and closer. So i keep looking around randomly like im retarded which makes me feel even more awkward

I remember reading about that happening with her. its amazing how it can effect people. to be so beautiful and yet still so insecure. we are all broken in little tiny ways i guess.

I saw the other day on Netflix a movie called 'Tall girl' it's mostly crap. but it does deal with some of the issues that being a tall girl at school is like. except i didn't get a happy ending :-)

I feel that way when I'm really self-conscious and unused to being in public.
