Someone near my age range died a couple days ago and I hate how people blame JUST social media for their death especially since this person has been struggling with mental health for years. Downgrading people's struggles and saying X did it is such a shallow flip narrative.
Pinning it on other people when you don't know their story whatsoever does more harm than good and seeing other people do so makes me so sick. People love to say mental health matters but bash others while doing so. How many deaths should occur until people take mental health seriously?
Some people also love to use religions to psycho analyze their deaths and that's disgusting. There is this one comment I saw blaming the father and acting so perfect as if they're God when it comes to judging. I'll copy it and paste it below:
"This is a common issue-many people misinterpret Scripture to fit their own narratives. But let's be clear: God did not take her life-she made that choice herself. If you are truly in Christ, the Holy Spirit will convict you to repent for the ways you may have fallen short as a parent. This is an open rebuke. You were meant to be her primary protector, teacher, and guide. Tragically, she was left without the support she needed from the one who was supposed to be her anchor. Proverbs 22:6 says train up a child in the way he should go even when he is old he will not depart from it. It's a message from God to all the parents failing to do so is a sin"
Like what the fuck is wrong with this person, this is so disgusting and insensitive. So disrespectful to comment this and ignorant too.
Suicide is really complex for anyone to fully grasp what lead others to take their life. People should be more compassionate and kind. Honour them the right way instead of being so insensitive. Struggling with mental health is a battle which is why awareness is super important nowadays.
