unfortunately I am unable to purchase a firearm due to an involuntary commitment to a mental health facility many years ago. I've seen some threads on Reddit and Quora stating that certain calibers of pellet guns can be lethal. if anyone has some insight to this, please share.

I wouldn't do this. It isn't going to work. The chances are so remote of it working that it shouldn't even be considered. I understand you may be desperate, but you really need to find another way.

the only other method I have available to me is hanging, which I have a fear of failing, being found and committed involuntarily again. I've spent hours researching methods but nothing is seeming to be accessible or guaranteed. I appreciate your insight, though. this shouldn't be so difficult.

I agree that it shouldn't be this difficult, but a pro-life society makes it this difficult. have you ever considered the CO (carbon monoxide) method? Is that something you'd have access to? It's fairly simple. You only need a small space, like a tent, and charcoal, but enough charcoal to make sure you get the job done. If you use not enough, you can mess yourself up very badly. It's a method that requires a bit of study, asking questions, and understanding how it needs to be done in order to avoid not getting it right.

I've seen some of the posts on here about it. seems a lot of people are having issues with obtaining the "right" charcoal. I'm also very exhausted at this point so focusing on these types of things is extremely difficult for me. I apologize.

NP. The "right" charcoal is lump charcoal that is 100% carbon.

thank you so much, I am forever indebted to you.
No reason to be indebted to me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't try this method without first studying it THOROUGHLY and understanding the pros AND CONS of it. You can REALLY hurt yourself if you don't do it right. You can end up a vegetable, so bad of one, that you may not be able to even attempt suicide again in order to remove yourself from your NEW found hell you now find yourself in. If you screw it up you could end up in a nursing home with needing an aide to feed you and wipe your ass for you. I don't know what your life is like now, but I would imagine ending up like what I describe would most likely be a worse situation than you are in now. PLEASE read everything you can about it, and if you don't understand something, ask a lot of questions so that you can understand it.

Wow thats crazy that if u go to a mental health facility that you cant buy a gun for the rest of ur life even if you are not at risk of being a violent person. Doesnt seem right! What if you are in a bad situation and you go to a facility that means you are now banned for life on firearms? Thats beyond crazy in my mind. But people are crazy in todays world so i guess i can see where the logic comes from. Sucks never the less.

But i agree a pellet gun isnt ideal by any means it isnt gonna go through ur head its gonna just make conact. Id say chances of it hurting is high. Chances of it making u a vegetable is low. And chances of death is extremley low.

After looking at all options my personal preference is nitrogen. I have it right infront of me rn. I wish i had the courage to put the mask on and go to sleep forever
