These guys came on the scene recently. They are an alternative to Dignitas. Hard to gage too much from their website, but it doesn't seem straight forward. Anyone have any views?

Just one more taking advantage of Swiss laws to sell assisted suicide to wealthy foreigners. It's not really what I have in mind when I imagine what the right to die peacefully and with dignity for everyone should be. But I imagine it's still better than nothing for those who can afford it.

Didn't know they could open up business just like pubs or supermarkets.
There must be some legal restrictions and requirements they must meet in order to open up.
Still it's a very difficult and tiresome process and that's something that someone who wants to die shouldn't go through.

Assisted suicide is decriminalized in Switzerland. If you can prove that you didn't assist someone in their suicide for selfish reasons, there won't be any legal consequences. So there is literally no reason for them to deny assisted suicide to young people, only their own ignorance and elitism.

Yes, i know.
I was just pointing out that opening a thing like this isn't exactly like opening a shop or a restaurant.
For example, here Portugal, we have a law that prescribes very specific and rigorous requirements for opening a bank.
A lot of people's lives will depend on the stability of such an institution so they don't let banks just pop up.
I would say the same thing would apply to assisted dying associations, specially given the pro life bots always ready to point fingers.
But anyway, the more there are the better, a bit of competition is always good.
It may, even make them start to offer better prices.

I understand yout POW but the problem with associations such as Dignitas-Lifecircle-EXInternational (not exit Switzerland) and now Pegasos is that their goal is to attract wealthy foreigners first. Below is the cost of 15g of Pentobarbital at Dignitas: 4000 first contribtion + 1000 doctor + 2500 second contribution, so a total of 7500 chf/$ for 15g of Pentobarbital. Cremation is not included at this price, if you want it then it's 3000$ more. Add to that Hotel, plane tickets, family etc...It's clearly a business first and foremost so when average people see this they can only have a bad opinion on assisted suicide. For me such associations do not help to make things move forward but rather give opponents some strong arguments against AS and the suicide tourism.

Digni costs

There is only one true AS association in Switzerland and it's Exit DS/F. As you can see the price is almost free if you are a member and the rules are the same except they don't accept wealthy foreigners nor foreigner at all.

I know that for some people Dignitas and CO are the last resort and I can totally understand they'd rather pay thousands of $ than dying/suffering from natural causes, I totally get that and I'm happy for those it can help, but still there is definitely something dirty with their way to manage things. Just my opinion though.

@RainAndSadness is right when she talks about ignorance and elitism. I won't ever be able to use their services, I could try yes but it would cost me all the energy I have left and there is so much humiliation in the process that I just can't, I'm too tired. So I'm just gonna do things my way.

They say on their website that if you cannot afford it they will try to help you financially.
