Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Sorry if this is a dumb question just trying to wrap my head around it. Both methods involve rapidly tightening around the neck to block the carotid arteries to stop blood flow to the brain while keeping the windpipe open.

But from what I've been reading there is a lot more skepticism for night-night than partial hanging.

What is the fundamental difference between the two besides the method they use to tighten around the neck?

That is it. Both can fail if the pressure is insufficient or you release the pressure and escape.

i'm wondering too, but I feel like partial suspension would be better because it is a lot simpler and easier to set up, and because your partial weight would probably apply more pressure than tape. i'm not sure tho

Yes. You can lean into it and a rope will apply more pressure that you can ever do by hand. The weakness of partial is you can stop. Plan on putting the most weight you can on the rope and hold it for as long as possible. Hearing and vision get funky when you are doing it right. Keep pressure until you pass out.
