ok i have decided my chosen method to ctb which is partial hanging but i have a couple of questions
1- people discussing partial hanging are worried about being found, is this due to them making noise ? (i live with my parents so i need to know if will have to account for the noise)
2- i have chosen the closet in my room, i have already tried putting some pressure on it and it seems sturdy enough. what should i be using as my rope though, i need something thats easily accessible.

I suggest reading this thread about partial hanging first. It helped me get the method to work out. As for you questions, yes, you're going to make noises for sure. And they usually recommend using ropes with a material that causes more friction. I personally suggest paracords or climbing ropes with a thickness of 10mm minimum. They're way more accessible and cheaper and it works just fine. Hope you get everything sorted out, it's saddening that you have come to this decision. I wish you well <3

if you found something stable enough that can support your weight well enough then you're good in terms of finding something to hang yourself on. As for the rope, you can buy one at the store. Theres a few forums about ropes, find which one is the best for you. Don't order it online too, if someone finds it in the package before you, they might suspect something. Finding the rope won't be a problem. If it is then try to order it online but it will be risky, make sure to be ready for the arrival at all times.

He was only referring to the rope placement and he wasn't sure of it working perfectly. I just think his thread was easily explained, but if you're looking for something more 'reliable' there you go. Have a lovely day & take care, thank you.
