This is a question for those people that have been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and agree with the diagnosis. Please watch the video and then comment. Is this what you have experienced in real life, or is it unrealistic. If it is what you experience, does it stop when you take medicine?

I have schizophrenia but not paranoid sub-type. I've only experienced voices in my head and visual hallucinations early on in my illness, 99% of my experiences were delusions only. I did have olfactory hallucinations on a few occasions.

My voices were 2 women narrating what i was doing, very clearly, speaking in turn. Somewhat similar to the video but my voices did not talk over each other. My visuals were of another person mainly being in my property. Not like the video really.
Like i said nearly all my illness has been made up of delusions such as people, family, friends, healthcare workers plotting against me. It would take me ages to describe the stuff i believed so i won't, but it was really far out.

I was ill from 2010 to 2017 when i was sectioned due to not eating, i nearly starved to death, through my schizophrenic thoughts. In hospital meds were forced on me and i got better and was released. As of today i am symptom free.
I'm here because within a few years i will be alone so would rather ctb. If you want any more info just say!
