I have to have my parakeet put down that I have had since I was 15. His name is Sonic. You know, after the blue hedgehog. It is very painful.

He was real young when we got him. We had him for almost 7 years. Would have been 7 this Christmas. He had a tumor most likely on his kidney. His leg was paralyzed. Seeing him in so much pain broke my heart. We talked to everyone, they told us it was right to put him to sleep so he could not hurt. God knows I would have done anything to have him forever. He passed away. We will get an urn for him now.
