My time on here has been very pleasent and as I am nearing my time to ctb I started thinking. Most poeple on here talk about painless methods of CTB which mostly results in talks of pills and other "passive" methods.

However if you think about some of the most violent methods e.g. Firearms or Trains , electricity etc if these happen "instantlly" (which they can) you wouldnt fill any pain. Infact you wouldnt even know it happened. I wont get into the science of pain receptors and how quickly messages travel to and from the brain but you can Google it if you want. My question is those who would rather use "painless methods" are you aware of this potential lack of pain with more instant methods or are there other reasons you choose not to got that route?

Especially firearms, if you aim to the brain it is unlikely you will feel anything. Train works too if you lay down on the tracks with the neck, you will be beheaded like a guilloutine. Or jumping from high places is relatively painless too.

I'm well aware of that, but I don't want it to be just painless, I want it to be painless and peaceful, and I really can't think that firearms-train etc are peaceful options

No its not peaceful, that is true. Yes sleeping and just never waking up anymore would be beautiful. But things like cyanide are hard to get.

@burnedCookie thats an interesting angle , for me as long as its painless thats all that matters. If I dont even know what happened then thats even better.

Yes I am totally aware, I needed to find a painless method desesperately.
I can not to get a gun, trains, electricity and more of that kind.......nothing, forget it, no way.
Jumping and hanging, I have not any courage, I will not do it.

I would not want to involve anyone else, eg. a train driver.
I also don't have the courage for jumping or hanging, it seems. Guns are not an option where I live. I doubt I would use one even if it were otherwise, I'm not sure why. Something instinctive...

I like the idea of being so tired it hurts (a daily occourance for me) and then taking the SN or N and just curling up under some soft lights and nodding off while some sweet peaceful music plays quietly. To me this is peace and my hope is that I will sleep through the pain and never wake.
I'm inclined to agree that the gun or even hanging might actually be more effective but as mentioned by @burnedCookie I want peace the most.
What ever you choose friend and wherever that leads you, I sincerely hope you find peace too my brother.

To me yes, it's quite clear that instant equals painless. Alas, I can't get a firearm in my country, or I would have offed myself a very long time ago. Trains are not an option because I refuse to inflict that kind of trauma on innocent conductors. As for electricity, I have no idea how I could electrocute myself... the only thing I can think of is dropping an electrical appliance into my bathtub but that doesn't work any more as there's a safety measure that turns your power off to prevent accidents. If you have any other instant methods for me to consider, do tell. My number 1 priority is effectiveness, then painlessness. Instantaneousness is a bonus.

Easy, follow the next steps.

Look for a high-voltage line.
Climb on the tower, it is easy.
Hang from two wires at the same time, not one, must to be two.
Effectiveness and painlessnes guarenteed. And faster too.

My method is a 250ft jump off a bridge. Quick, 99% chance of being painless and 0 chance of changing my mind. If am the 1 in 1000 that survives? Im willing to take that chance but I doubt im that special.

Oh, there is still a very good chance of changing your mind. It's just that you can't do anything about it.

Maybe it's just an excuse that I use to dismiss violent methods, but I'd like to think dying peacefully would be better on the soul if it does go on. Something about less panic and fragmentation if you aren't too stressed or panicked when you die. If there is any life after this one I'd like to be able to move on quickly and not have any issues because I was in the wrong state of mind or fearful when I passed.

Either way they aren't for me. Going to partial or night night for the quick sleep when it's time, both are painless if done right and extremely quick. Just a quick lights out.
