CTB is the best pain killer ! It's the only one which will work me. I've tried everything else...tramadol, morphine, fentanyl, steroids....you name it, it simply doesn't work ! When I tell the doctors this they say it's not possible I'm some kind of weirdo ! Oh yes, I forgot, there is only one thing which works for me: sitting in very cold water (like 2-3 degrees celsius) for 30-40 minutes ! I think it's because the body then releases endorphines to reduce the pain the icy water triggers in your body, and they also make you slightly high. Most people don't believe me when I tell them that I do this, since under normal circumstances you lose consciousness when you sit in such cold water for more than 20-30 minutes, but I must have a physiology different to most people...resistant to the strongest types of painkillers and resistant to cold water !

Have you tried Kratom? It takes the edge off for me.

I smoke marijuana. Seems like the lesser of evils compared to opiates. But the issue is tolerance build up, it becomes expensive after a while.

what particular strains do you smoke? sativa or indica?
have you tried pure oil? it contains 90% THC, which is supposed to be a pain killer

I've tried cold water, but I stopped due to no effect. I used to take ice cold showers for 1 minute. May be I should build up to 30-40 minutes?
Have you heard about Wim Hof?

I like to get hybrids, but when the pain is really bad I'll do Indica only. I haven't smoked pure oil before but I have used cartridges and I've dabbed.

Yes, I did a seminar with one of the "disciples" of Wim Hof who taught us how to do the breathing techniques etc. to be able to stand the icy water temperatures for so long....there were a lot of people with various types of chronic pain who participated in that seminar, they also had tried all sorts of painkiller to no avail...

do you do some breathing to withstand ice water? or you just got used to it?

I'm sure it's different for different types of pain. I've had nerve blocks that last 1-3 days. The last time they burnt the nerves I forget the term they used and it helped tons for me. As far as my stomach and inside pain they either tell me it's in my head or a pinched nerve in my back.
The pain I really want to get rid of is the pain in my heart, emotional pain.
