Guns don't kill people I kill people

Recently I've been getting more and more stimulated over small things. Although I have dealt with this before, it was never this severe. I don't only feel overstimulated when I'm upset, many times it's just because I'm excited or stressed, but my brain's response to it is to damage everything around me in order to tone down my emotions. I am autistic and I've never got the chance to get treated or view a therapist for more than a month at a time so I would really appreciate some help. Sometimes I can get away with only flapping my hands or breaking a few pencils, but sometimes I get intense urges to harm myself or my surroundings, that being said it gets out of control easily.
The meds I take don't have an immediate effect so they do not help in these situations. I can't feel it coming and it can last up to an hour. I wouldn't call them meltdowns or attacks but they aren't far off.
I would really appreciate any tips on how to deal with overwhelming and overstimulating situations, I'm willing to try anything!
