Discussion outsiders think we are pro-death because we arent pro-life

they see the debate on suicide so rigidly, and because we talk about it so openly they think we are pro-death just because we help people find a painless way of ctb. i think there are some pro-lifers on here but most people here are pro-choice.

people are going to ctb regardless, they should at least have a pleasant method, and helping them find that isnt encouraging them to ctb. i actually think most people on this forum dont want their friends here to ctb, but they understand why others are in pain, and that suggesting to seek help can hurt more.

the media frames us as the darkest side of the internet but we are nowhere near mainstream.

what are your thoughts?

I don't want to die but life just sucks. If i won the lottery or got hired i would enjoy life. Being poor is shit.

personally i'm between pro choice and pro life, i think it's better in most cases for people to try exhaust every option they can to make their lives better without tsking their own life, but i sccept that 1. for some thats not possible and most importantly 2. people whould be free to do whatever they want with their own body/life, including ending it.

They cherry pick comments to make us sound like some death cult. Not that way at all. I wish more attention was paid to why we're here in the first place. No one cares.
