I want to go out how I wish I could live. No stress and no fuss, no harm caused to anyone else.

I have been thinking long and hard. Do you think if I go up to the marina late night/early morning. Jump off the boat into the water with a life jacket on, so I wouldn't drown but become hypothermic (water is around 18 degrees Celsius atm) and wouldn't be seen between the boats until too late would work? This would then look like I had fallen from the boat as an accident. I would obviously have wipe my devices etc.

My one concern would be having some poor soul find me soggy and decomposed. Plus my family would not get the open coffin that is traditional.

My other option is an exit bag - this would not be so gruesome for someone to find.

I also have a stockpile of verapamil, enough to kill me many times over and it's pretty much game over even if found with calcium Channel blockers. I also have a fair bit of amytiptaline but cannot get the rest of the stuff to make the cocktail.

Last option is getting hanging right. Having some delayed emails set up would help ensure professionals found me and not innocent people that could be scarred for life.

The hypothermia boat option is seeming like my best shot at accident looking without risking harm to anyone else like crashing my car or bike.

A heroin OD is another possible option. people will think it was just an attempt to try a drug but ending up a fatal accident. of course, your reputation will be somewhat tarnished by this but you'd be dead,so it won't matter.

Although dependent on a number of variables, one can survive for up to 40 hours in 18 degree C water, with unconsciousness/exhaustion occurring between 2-7 hours. That is a lot of time to be found and rescued.

And speaking from experience, hypothermia is miserable and will test one's willpower to endure. (Mine was accidental and not something I'd ever want to go through again)

I have thought about this, with my luck I would be caught trying to buy it as I don't really know anyone in those circles or get sold brown sugar and robbed which doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things but anxiety is a huge issue for me. I would also be pretty clueless as to what to do with it. Also it wouldn't be my reputation I cared about but my parents. It would devistate them.

I knew it wouldn't be fun but I didn't think it would take that long. The water starts to get to around 8dc in February but I doubt I can hack this that long.

Your suicide itself will cause great devastation to your parents,I believe that's why you made this thread in order to make it look like an accident? I understand your other reasons however. In the past,I got scammed a few times in my attempts to get substances. I was really reckless back then.

Seriously though, getting the resources and mustering the will to CTB is already an uphill challenge in and of itself. if you want to minimize the impact of your death, you're better off writing a suicide note explaining why you decided to go and that it is not your parents' fault why you ultimately made the decision

I just posted a method called Shallow water blackout. It will look like an accident, give it a read and see if it intrigues you.

My first choice is to make it look like an accident to save them the shame. It would be a toss up on what would be worse for them, a blatant suicide or to think I died doing heroin. Where as if there is the option to think it was accidental that would be better for them, easier to deal with.

I've seen families close to me deal with both suicide and accidental death and I think the car crash was easier for them to comprehend. I do know however with my history with the system it will be looked into. But they can only put suicide on the death certificate if they are 100% sure, if not it will be either accidental or unknown (cannot remember what they actually call it)

I will take a look, nice one.

I have thought about crashing my car or motorbike but I could never do it as there is no guarantee I wouldn't hurt someone else, or with my luck I would make myself a head on a stick with no ability to finish the job.

The impulsive me thinks about jumping off the cliffs or off a motorway bridge but the responsible me wants to go as quietly as possible without traumatising anyone else.

Given your history as you say it on here I think you'll have to choose. To be ruled a suicide it has to be definitive but not absolute. Having prior mental instability or suicidal tenancies will have a huge impact on weather its ruled that way or not. I guess you'd have to choose between straight out method or making it look accidental. Don't be fooled, once you're dead you have no choice on the traumatic effects you may cause either way. Personally id go for the crash, but it just has to be done right. I don't want to end up a veg or put others on the road in more risk than they need to be.
