Why is it that many suicide preventionists assume that anyone who wants to commit suicide is physically healthy, and young? Especially the non-professional suicide preventionists. Cant they comprehend that maybe some people comit suicide because of a physicall illness, or disability? Or that people actually have problems besides depression?

Society & government don't care how miserable i am with health issues and depression as a result. They "own" my body and I'm expected to suffer for God knows how long. Then they make you take bad drugs with horrible side effects and then you wind up dreaming about trying to get N, etc. and hoping to end it all. Then find yourself typing to complain about it. What a way to live.

I think this is a bit of misconception and also a bit of a tabu thing. The reason why there is not much publicity is to stop encouragement for others. Also, bear in mind, heavily disabled people have less freedom and less means to commit suicide unless the have someone to assist. Then suicide becomes murder ...

Yes, but autists for example have a very high suicide rate, but this is rarely ever mentioned.

It's interesting to consider how many people would CTB If it were more possible -I'm guessing most retirement homes would clear out pretty quickly…
