Old politicians and business people are forever hungry.
Many of the old politicians like Pelosi, Fauci, the last 2 presidents, are way too old. However, they choose to keep working stressful jobs and act like they will live forever. They are hungry. No money, power, or fame is enough for them. How could someone tolerate working more than 50 years? 50 freaking years. On top of all that, they use their positions to avoid being convicted of crimes. They put policies in place to screw up people. There are so many examples here.
On the other hand, the old business people never have enough. They want more money, power, and prestige. They will do whatever it takes to improve their status. Look at Buffett: he has all the money in the world but doesn't provide basic needs for one of his granddaughers. She had issues and needed medical assistance but couldn't get it due to lack of insurance. Another example is Bezos. He resigned from Amazon to focus on a space company. He didn't like to see Musk becoming one of the most important businessmen in the world. His wife left him and donated a lot of money to charity without hesitation. Big difference.
I don't think the new generations will be obssessed with working to death until they drop. They make better choices in this regard. Life is not supposed to be about work. We should work to live not live to work.
