This is the thread for all the people who have chosen drowning as their method/those contemplating the idea.
Here we can share tips and whatnot.

I'm surprised this didn't get any attention yet. I'd like to figure out how to in a tub.

Isn't the process rowboat to middle of a lake or pond, weights tied to your feet, and then flip over the rowboat?

I have often wondered if swallowing a bunch of benzos while in the bath would do cause one to drown. Apparently this is how Whitney Houston died ...

Liveleak has a video of an accidental drowning. No need to wonder.

In a tub? I saw a couple accidentally drowned in a lake, but have never seen someone in a tub.

Yeah a lot of variants of that. Weight you can't detach and deep water (>10') seem perfect.

I liked the variant with the inflatable kayak. Just attach the weight and stab the kayak with a knife. No turning back.

I have my plan for drowning. I know it won't fail. All I have to do is decide on when.

I've read that you need to hyperventilate and then go in a pool, in the sea, then you'll lose consciousness.

There was this keeping yourself under in the bathtub until you drown scene in the OA. I think it's an insult to people fighting so hard to beat SI.

I attempted this on Friday but was unsuccessful. Took a couple pills that made me really drowsy, laid in the hotel bathtub with the water running and passed out while the water level was past my ears and almost up to my nose and mouth. Woke up a couple hours disappointed that I was still here and found the water had been shut off. Really wondering how that could have happened. Could SI really have caused my unconscious body to reach up and turn off the valve?

maybe it was automatic. in some hotels you turn on the water but after a while it stops by itself.

whats OA?

I think its shallow water blackout that needs to occur, though I still consider this a relatively scary method, when attempted willfuly-it happens fairly often accidently, even with v.competent swimmers, physically fit, & trained divers etc, they just push themselves to the edge too much as they think they can handle the breath holding thing: It very basic terms you are fainting whilst underwater due to holding yr breath for too and/ or hyperventilating (which is why it has happened to swimmers when training for long periods): the drowning aspect in theory then, should occur whilst you are unconscious & still underwater.

Considered this. Wondering how heavy of a weight you would need for this. I'm guessing it would depend on what your own body weight is.

This is how writer Virginia Woolf ctb-aged 59 in 1941:

After World War II began, Woolf's diary indicates that she was obsessed with death, which figured more and more as her mood darkened. On 28 March 1941, Woolf drowned herself by filling her overcoat pockets with stones and walking into the River Ouse near her home

Just read five people drowned in this very same river in April 2019! not sure of the circumstances.
Isn't the process rowboat to middle of a lake or pond, weights tied to your feet, and then flip over the rowboat?

I dont get it, if you have sucessfully obtained N, whats the need for drowning? why add suffering unnecessarily?

Does bridgejumping count? Because I almost drowned that way, simply via the impact knocking me out. Wanna repeat with a bridge thats a few times taller for good measure.
Considered weights too but nosy parents confiscated my concrete block
