Hi everyone,

I need to obtain 600L of N2 gas in the UK (and all the regulators and such)

I've been reading through the megathread on inert has but can't seem to find much UK specific advise.

what size tank should I been looking for in UK sizes?

I have no experience buying gases but I keep seeing canisters that look like this,
https://www.frontline-safety.co.uk/...3tJEpHTB8U05lRrBtVbW1lCiYMGgdoAQaAuWbEALw_wcB

would that size work? or something of the same size? I can't seem to find 600L tanks that aren't HUGE, that they wouldn't even fit through my door. I feel like I'm just being stupid so I definitely need some advice!

Hi, You definitely don't need calibration grade gas, industrial grade is just fine.
5 liter cylinder at 200 bar would give you over 1000 liters of gas at ambient pressure.

You may wish to check with other UK Forum members for gas suppliers.

The cylinder you are looking for looks like this, preferably in aluminum:

In respect to relative size, here is a graphic with some size measurements:

Also, there is more Inert Gas method reference material on my blog (listed under my name).

Best regards!

So for example a canister like this would have 2,000 litres of gas in?
Yes, like it says on the page: Volume 1.89m³.
You will also need a nitrogen or other inert gas flow regulator and that's it.
