It was probably the churches that outlawed suicide, hundreds of years back. Fast forward. It was even illegal here, a crime to be punished for. Then it was cleared of criminal law. It was no longer illegal.... Hurray.....
But, who decided it was abnormal to want to die? None of us asked to be here, so who decided it was abnormal to not like living? A trend that still continues today, psychiatrists, psychologists, and everybody else-ists, friends, neighbors, family etc all firmly believe it's abnormal!
Who decided it was and firmly rooted that analysis in our society today???

It's a government conspiracy. If you're dead, they can't collect tax money off of you.

Dead consumerist slaves are pretty useless. Who exactly? It probably was the Christians and other ruling classes throughout history. We are all being exploited to an absurd degree. It kills me that most people are such lemmings and conform to being abused this way, but alas here we are.

Hard to tell where it started, but I'm kind of betting the evil church people when they created hell.

That's why I tend to believe suicide is the ultimate form of rebellion.

Definitely... religion and governments have been in bed forever. They use fear and psychology to control the masses in any way they chose.

It's incredibly hard to measure from the outside if someone is truly suicidal or not. To a degree I am somewhat sympathetic with it. What needs to be done is some social conditioning first that it is a viable option, and then work backwards on understanding a criteria. But I personally feel that any discussion about such a criteria would never come to a mutually agreed position. It can't factor in all the variables that brought a person to this decision in the first place and they will respond with "But you are of not sound mind to make this decision".

So everyone has to resort to secretive underworld little groups just so we can talk, normally, about it!

Thats right none of us begged to incarnate to this world yet somehow we are expected to not only participate but to like it as well.

Imagine if your just sitting there and someone brought you a plate of food you never asked for and then expected you to not only eat it but to like it no matter how not hungry you are or how bad the food tastes.

Well if you have a wonderful life and you want to die that means that your brain isn't functioning properly I guess. Because what reason is there to want to die if you have a great life? I have a physical condition now which is why I want to die but at 15-17 I had an awful bought with OCD and I wanted to die. Then when I dealt with it I didn't want to die anymore. So something has to be mentally wrong for someone to want to die. I know we didn't ask to be born but if you're happy why would you want to die? You wouldnt. Something would have to be wrong with your mind.

Yeah, I was having a breakdown at one point and a family member told me "nobody said life was going to be easy", as if I somehow chose to be born.

It's useless to tell fucktards that it is not their business to decide if your circumstances 'warrant' choosing to quit. Even here you can easily idiots who presume to decide for others.

Its not really normal to want to die.

The shame and self judgment that accompanies suicidal ideation and impulse is caused by trauma of some form or another.

It is the end of the line coping mechanism for psychological wounds that cannot seem to heal.

There is no judgment here though. None of us asked or wanted to feel this way. Whatever happened to us was not our fault.

And so we get left with a choice. One that can often not even seem like there is a choice:

Confront the pain and find a way to heal.
Or
Continue to live in misery wishing every day that it would end.
Or
End it.
