• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

In this post I'm sharing my thought process and questions related to SN testing.

Basically I'm trying to figure out:
1. Whether it's worth it to do this in the first place.
2. What type of test kit to get.
3. What brand/specific product to get.

The most comprehensive source of information on the SN method I have found is "Vizzy's SN Bible." This seems to be the SN info source most often referenced by users here. From what I've seen there and on the forum in general, it seems highly recommended to test the purity of your SN with "nitrite test strips/kits" before using it.

This may or may not be necessary, but I figured I might as well take all possible precautions. So now I'm trying to decide what type of test kit I should get, if any.
I've noticed comments (and general opinions) which question the accuracy of these tests. Some people seem to think they're unreliable.

However, I think all of those comments were referring to "strip" tests specifically, which are apparently different from "reagent" tests.
What I've gathered is that two types of nitrate tests are available: strips and reagents. Would I be correct in saying that?

Another opinion I've noticed from users on the forum is that reagent tests are more reliable than strip tests.
This leads me to wonder whether I should use a reagent test rather than a strip test, even though the latter is the one outlined in Vizzy's guide, supposedly the PPEH, and the other testing procedure guides I've found.
I haven't found any recommended guides outlining reagent testing procedure. I'm wondering if there's a reason they focus on strip testing rather than reagent testing, if reagent testing is supposedly more reliable?

The last thing I'll have to figure out is what brand/specific product would be best. I've found several different ones through recommendations from the forum (both strip and reagent types I think, though I can't always tell what kind they are).
But it's hard to know. First I'll have to understand the difference between the types of tests and how to distinguish them when looking for what product to buy.
(If anyone has any recommendations or wants me to share the ones I found let me know.)

Knowing stuff is great and all but i can't buy them 😭, like Domperidone is not otc in Canada so i don't know where to get it. I wish there was easier ways that I could do it safely. Thanks for info btw.
