Help Next of Kin in Canada

Can anyone tell me how to go about changing who my Next of Kin is in Canada? During a visit to the ER a few years ago, I updated the hospital with my brother's contact info. Do I do the same thing again to change it to someone else? I couldn't find the answer online.
