Hi, I'm new the community. I see a lot of people using SN. Is this for real? I have trouble believing that a substance used in food prep is such a popular method. I've also am wanting to know how to overcome self preservation. Death is the ultimate destination, but dying is the journey. The journey needs to be painless & easily traveled.

I think that if SN wasn't fatal then there wouldn't be lots of news articles about it and people wishing to restrict it. But yes, of course death is the ultimate destination, to die is all that we are destined for and there is no escaping from this, and continuing to exist could only ever be delaying the inevitable so it makes sense to me, to voluntarily exit to prevent a future of unnecessary suffering and inevitable deterioration.
Simply just existing makes the thought of permanent non existence sound so appealing to me, and I agree that voluntarily dying should always be painless, a painless death is what we deserve the option of after being unfairly forced into an existence that we never asked for.

Yes, I believe suicide by SN is entirely real. There are plenty of reports on the regular internet (not just here) that show people have succeeded using this method.
That said, it doesn't seem to be ideal to do it impulsively- I think it is well worth the time reading all the information you can on it here and consider getting the supplementary items- especially an antiemetic.
It also seems to involve a varying amount and severity of side effects according to different reports- so I think it's important to be aware of that also.

SI, or self-preservation as you put it, is very real and very hard to overcome. There is no "fix" for it, where, miraculously, you can just make it disappear or fade into the background. I think you just need to legitimately be at your last straw, devoid of any and all hope, then it won't be a problem for you. But, again, you really don't get a say as to when the last speck of hope leaves you. It leaves when it leaves.Welcome!
As people have said...there is a ton of information out there. It's in your best interest to do some research.

SN is real. The purity used in food curing is very low, often <10%, whereas SN used for CTB is >95% in purity.Similar threads
