N shipped to the UK - what are the penalties if seized by customs?

Before I order N I would like to know if there are any penalties if N is seized by customs in the UK. D has said he ships frequently to the UK but I just want to double check if anyone has had any experiences where the product has been seized by customs via UPS and what is at stake. Many thanks.
