I've been on Klonopin for a few years, 4 times a week, sometimes Eszopiclone, maybe once a week, as well as Gabapentin daily. All of these drugs affect the GABA receptors. I'm worried because drugs that affect GABA receptors can alter N's efficacy. I definitely have a tolerance to all of these medications. I can take 8 mg of Klonopin and just be sleepy, although I usually only take .5-1 mg.

I stopped taking Seroquel because I heard about the effects on N. I can't stop taking the benzodiazepines because I really need them for my symptoms. But do I need to stop? Would this affect this efficacy of N? Are there people who have been on benzodiazepines long-term who have successfully died with 12 g? I'm planning on taking a lot of Klonopin and Eczopiclone beforehand since I'm hoping it'll potentiate the N.

Also, is it safe to take N while someone is in the next room sleeping? Does it cause a 'death rattle' like some other drugs or odd/loud noises? I could go to a hotel too but I think I'd have more time alone if I just pretended to be sleeping and took it at home. But I'm not sure which place would be better. Thoughts?

The 12g of N would probably be more than enough if you've only been taking 0.5 to 1mg of kpin. If you've been taking more it's probably best to taper off. Benzos and alcohol would potentiate the N for sure.

I'm personally gonna use a hotel room, I can't risk them finding me before it kills me. I also don't want to traumatize my family

I don't think benzo tolerance has cross-tolerance with barbiturates, but I could be wrong. They both hit GABAA receptors in general but in different ways.

Honestly though, even if there were cross-tolerance (and I'm pretty sure there isn't) I agree with the other commenter that your N dose would be more than enough.

If you're unsure, you could also add an opioid/opiate to the mix or another downer that contributes to respiratory depression to be sure like Soma or 1,4-butanediol.

Thank you, this is reassuring. I don't want to traumatize my family either, I feel really bad for my parents. My dad has heart problems, I'm afraid of this having an effect on his health. I'm telling myself they'd have to see my body anyway, but finding the body dead in the morning would be much more traumatic. I could go to a hotel and I'm concerned about having less time for the N to kill me. If I just did it in my room or in the den (there's a futon in there you can sleep on) then they'd think I was sleeping and I hope I'd have 8-10 hours. I'm not sure where to do it yet.

Something I was wondering regarding benzo and opiate tolerance with regards to N was whether, if you topped up/matched your tolerance would that essentially even the playing field as you are at the amount you can tolerate and therefore there is no deficit tolerance to apply to the N? If thst makes sense.

I did read something posted by Philip Neitche on the matter of opiods. He said something along the lines of, 'many elderly sick people are ising opiods and it slows gastric transit thus slowing digestion of N'. I'm not sure how serious to take that but thought I'd share it. Maybe fasting is enough to get around this.

i'm taking the same dose as you daily. I doubt there will be an issue, especially since 6g of N kills almost everyone anyway.
