Help My Two Cats

So one of my biggest hurtles in deciding to CTB is my two lovely cats. I've had M for about 8 years now and leaving her without me is one of the things I worry about most. I also have S who I only got this year; she will miss me but it wont be as bad. This week was especially hard, its the reason I decided to make an account. I talked to one of my best friends about if I get into an accident if she would take care of them for me and she said yes. The big issue with that though is I live in a different state now. Its about a 16 hour drive between us and I don't feel right putting that on her. Any suggestions on how to get them to her? I considered having a friend from my current state meet her half way and leaving them both with money for it; but that really doesn't solve the problem. Is there a convenient lie I could use to make an excuse to bring them to her myself?

The only reason I didn't put their names on here is because if anyone saw them they would know I posted this. At least one of them has a name I've never hared another animal have.

You could make the drive yourself and give the excuse that you are going on a trip and that you just don't trust a boarding facility. You can also fly them in cargo, but it's expensive, a lot of rules, and puts some stress on the cats, but a lot of people do this. Also in some areas there are volunteers that transport animals for various reasons but we'd need to find them.

I'm facing the same issue trying to find a home for my children... don't want to put them in a shelter and want to be sure they are kept indoors. It's difficult.

Thank you! That would work perfectly. I've talked a lot about a few trips I want to make so I could say I'm finally going on one of them for a few weeks. a
And I want them to actually be watched instead of just fed by someone in my current state. There is a major city between us so I could meet her there and have one last good time with her before departing. :)

I appreciate you being concerned for me but I'm not rushing. I've thought about suicide for most of the days I've been alive. I have tried antidepressants for two years straight in my past. Also tried to improve my life by doing all the recommended things like exercise and taking care of my health. My life has improved dramatically over the last few years but I cant shake the thoughts of suicide on a daily basis. Talking through my thoughts and emotions on here has already helped me substantially. I've rushed attempts in the past and it never ends well. Its truly exhausting dealing with these daily reminders that I'm never going to be fully happy. Now I've decided to plan out exactly how ill go; it will be peaceful and a happy ending to my life.

In the wake of my death there will be a lot of grieving and I plan to write a note for everyone who is close to me to help them cope with me not being here. I'm not going to rush, I want my death to be planed out as thoughtfully as ever action in my life has been. I'm extremely grateful for everyone who has loved me; they made the pain of my life bearable. Unfortunately I still feel horribly unhappy and I want there to be an end to my suffering before my life gets any worse. Its pretty decent right now and I just don't see it getting better than this.

I hope no one has to feel the way I do. Even at the summit I feel like I'm at the bottom of the valley.
