As said in the title. It wasn't ctb though just unintentionally. Heroin & Benzo combination as far as I know. Worst part is their "friends" hid her inside a staircase and ran away afterwards with the intention of not getting in trouble. Imagine your "friends" hiding you somewhere, than leaving you somewhere alone just to die. I mean even if they'd have called for help she probably wouldn't had survived anyways. But leaving her behind to let her die alone is just heartless. I had a couple OD's and my friends always were on my side. Ofcourse also vice versa. Now those idiots will get into much more trouble due to not providing first aid assistance. Dumbasses. I didn't knew the girl that well so it doesn't affect me that much really but my sister. It just reminds me of the cold world we're living in though. Just heartless...

The selfishness of humans doesn't even surprise me at this point. But at least the person who died is free from this cruel, horrific world and all the future suffering that they potentially could have experienced was prevented. Rest in peace, I really envy those who die, they are so lucky.

I get what you saying RIP girl...
But she dying wasn't lucky at all. That person from what I've heard from multiple people was a very nice, kind, good and happy person living a decent life. I'm damn sure she didn't wanted to die that young. Ofcourse those things are out of anyones control. But it's tragic for all their loved ones and in this case the dying person herself. Not every individual consider themselves lucky to die cuz many also value their lives. Dying shouldn't be romantazized. It's not a fairytale. Most deaths are fatal and tragic for everyone envolved.

having OD'd a fair few times myself, I get what you're saying. I don't feel lucky to be here but I do feel lucky - more grateful - to have and have had the friends I do and did.
I've been the friend to attempt to revive, and in some cases simply stay with, friends, lovers, strangers at times, in events of ODs.
that said, as someone else here said, I'm not surprised by this turn of events and the choices made by the people around your sister's friend. not at all condoning it, simply that it happens. it shouldn't have.
