Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum but I've been lurking on it for a while, I feel like I'm definitely ready to ctb and instead of being scared or anxious about it I'm much more welcoming of it now and want it to happen as soon as possible.

My two methods I've been looking into are CO poisoning or hanging.

I have a fairly large car (Opel Insignia) which I'm worried might hinder the affects of CO, but I have one question is overkill with the Charcoal a bad thing? My plan is get a bag of charcoal, burner and steel buckets(some bricks to place it on) and use say 3 buckets placed around the car, write a note while I wait then enter. I won't know until it's happening if I'll feel panicky or scared but I just feel like at the time it should be scary of course it should you're about to no longer exist.

The hanging method I've searched a lot but it's so simple yet so easy to mess up or not get right, I've found the points where I need to put pressure on in my neck using my fingers however transferring this to a belt or rope is quite difficult, I've had a few practices using a belt that weren't successful, I had an idea today to use two items(not sure yet) that will put more pressure on the area's needed and then use a cable tie and tighten it up?

Sorry if this a bit rambley and doesn't really add anything but I've just felt this building up now for a while and needed to let it out and this seems like the place to do it.

Can't help with any hanging info but done a shit load of CO prep leading up to a (failed) attempt last week in a small hire car:
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/i-failed-with-co-method-last-night.25448/

I used 2kg in the small car (after chimney starter then into one bucket on bricks). Heat was fine (maybe 5-10'c increase, but UK is cold right now so no problem).

1kg is usually what kills people, or even 500g (that's one of those small disposable bbqs) in that space.

3 buckets (6kg) would be overkill, literally. I'd go for 4kg maximum but I agree, tip them into 2 or three trays and place in different places in the car. It's going to get hot but nothing too bad (briquettes cooler than lumpwood).

Don't wait to get it, but get in with the coals or soon after. To stop the survival instinct (SI) of opening the doors or panicking you want to be sleepy with alcohol, benzos or similar.

Let me know if you've got more questions. I'm planning on doing it again at the end of this week so researching every last scrap of info

@CaptainT

I've read your post a few times and the detail really helped, what brand of Charcoal did you use?(probably already answered) all I've done the last few days is research this method which could be over complicating it as you see people go out, buy a crappy disposable bbq and that's what makes it so crazy that your method didn't work.

The only thing I'm thinking is once I do everything, get in and sit for 10-20 minutes and nothing at all happens get out, as I seen it shouldn't take that long and this increases chances of brain damage if you stay inside, any truth in that? Thanks for the reply

I used Weber briquettes, tried and tested by many on those other threads.

You don't want to really sit there for 10-20 minutes, you want to get in and pass out asap, to stop you freaking out, feeling nauseous, headaches etc. That's why most people do it sleepy/drunk/high, whatever.
