  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I never had much at life, but I was always fond of my reasonably good cognitive skills. I was good at reading, learning and comprehending complex topics. I was also a good writer and could articulate my words in a very fluidly way, but now, I feel like I'm losing even that, as I'm having difficulty even when reading simple phrases. My writing is erratic, full of typos, repetitive words and incongruities.

It was the only thing I had, and now, I don't have even that. I'm falling apart.

I guess the thoughts of wanting to ctb constantly make us lose our minds little by little.
I just feel like you even though some people still say I'm "way too smart". (when I'm clearly not)

I'm sorry, friend. I'm going through the same, so I understand you a bit.

The feeling of losing the only thing that made you happy, what make you feel somewhat special is terrible.

I'm here if you need to chat a bit, you're from the same county, it would be nice to talk.

I feel the exact same way although a 2 year drug problematic relationship has ofc done some damage but primarily isolation does exactly this too you.
Isolation is killing you softly.

It's the depression. It eats our minds and our abilities.

I have never had particularly good cognitive skills, but mine are getting worse over time. As the years go by I am getting more tired of life and I cannot focus much. Living really can be tiring, I'm sorry you are going through this.

So sorry to hear that. Seeing ourselves decay is one of the worst things that can happen in life and that's why I don't intend to get old.

This is quite true. I used to also be a talented writer, as well as a "bright" person with a wide breadth of knowledge and educational interests. After decades if depression I can't even read a single chapter of a book without losing focus and forgetting much of what I've read. Forget about writing, too.

Thank you for sharing the link. Looks like we are screwed by depression. I think it even creates a positive feedback, making us even worse, because we know how much we could do before and how much we will never be able to do again, worsening our condition.
