Sitting in the car parking lot for my job after having a break down yesterday is hard. I don't know why I keep coming back, maybe it's my parents expectations that keep me coming back.
This job stresses me out, every. single. day. The Manger doesn't tell anyone if they are doing anything right or wrong untill they are scolding you after the fact a year down the line.

I flip papers. That's all I do. They are always threatening about job lay off's every few months like clock work which makes me worry and weary every day. I haven't stopped feeling sick for months on end, the stress affects my stomach and I get head aches everyday. I seriously can't keep doing this. I simply wish to stop existence.

It must be really dreadful and tiring being trapped in that situation but anyway best wishes, to me it's understandable just wanting to be free from it all.

Every day you do this job (that you don't like) so you earn money so you can live another day to do the same job and repeat and repeat ..

A few things to know:
1. There are situations where you don't have to have a standard job, I quit mine fours years ago and even though I miss what I did, I don't miss the conditions. All in all I preffer this life to the one before. - What you need is food and shelter but these can be different things (of different qualities and quantities) and can be aquired in different ways.
2. If you don't like your job then why are you afraid of being fired!? It would be.. freedom, a chance to start something else. I actually did something nearly unspeakable in my line of work: I got fired, twice (in reality I engineered my situation, I wanted to be fired, not to quit by myself). The third time I almost called international authorities to deal with what I thought was a breach of the working contract and when they realized what I was going to do they backed off immediately. The craziest thing is that in the end all companies that I worked for wanted me back. I told them that if they don't treat me like a fucking king then I'm not coming back. They didn't agree so I went away and did my own thing. - It is ok to be fired, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with it. You can also quit of course.

Put yourself into a position where you can afford to never let them walk over you again.

Ah, this makes a lot of sense. If I get layed off then it isn't really my fault and I can start looking in earnest for a new one. I am looking, but it's hard with a 8 - 5 and is always at work. (No phones allowed). This job was something I had for a long time, I was afraid of giving it up and finding nothing else since it took me about a year to get this one. (Been here for 4 years). Maybe in looking for a new one I'll have time for my hobby for once.

Look for a new job asap. Don't let them keep doing this to you.

Then start looking now! Ask friends, ask family, look in the newspaper, whatever. You don't need to spend hours per day, just minutes. The idea is that you never know what can come up and when. The first step is to know what to look for and where to look for, where are jobs being posted and what kind of jobs are being posted there. edit: Then you can look for jobs daily. Tip: you can maybe subscribe to custom job mailing lists.

Tip: You can use your phone during breaks and while you're on the pooper. : ) But don't spend too much time in the toilet, it's not healthy!

And yes, if you get fired before then you do have time for your hobbies.

What are you hobbies?

My hobbies is art, (making) animations, video games, reading, stuff like that. I really wanted to make videos on YouTube but I didn't have any programs when I was in school and now I don't have any time cuz this job sucked the life outta me.

Sorry to hear, I can relate. I climbed my way up to a lead engineer position. Took 10 years but I got the position I had my sights on since I was an intern. When I think back, the amount of stress and heartache it took doesn't feel worth it. The pay is very good, but, the amount of stress that comes with it is astronomical. My family is used to this pay so switching isn't an option, I can't start from scratch. When projects fall behind, even if I did nothing wrong, it's still on me to jump in and work disgusting hours (salary, so no extra pay) until it's done. I blame about 50% of wanting to CTB on this job.

If you don't mind me asking, flipping papers? Not sure what that means. Is it fulfillment-like position? Not sure your situation, but maybe changing jobs are in the cards?

Well, I get paid about 13 dollars an hour. I'm a "Document Specialist" which is a fancy way of saying "File cleaner" cuz you go and clean up old government Documents from the 80's 90's 2000's etc.

That sounds mind numbingly tedious :< 13 am hour seems kind of low though. Places like McDonald's are paying higher. If what your doing is a specialized skill, should be transferable to a place that actually pays good and doesn't threaten layoffs every month. Hope you find a better place that pays better.

You can still do these, some right now and some when you'll have time. Reading doesn't take too long and can be relatively cheap, for video games you need a decent rig though and animations, well.. that definitely takes time.

It's mind numbing in each and every way possible. And if you talk to anyone for more than two minutes they threaten more lay offs even though all we do is sit a desk in a nearly silver room with no colors and flip through pages.

I really wouldn't mind working at McDonald's or anything else if it means I can see sunlight through a window during the day, I'm very desperate.
