Story My extreme fascination of Pripyat and abandoned life

I'm a big fan of abandoned buildings and history. I have this big soft spot for Pripyat and it's its almost "dead" look. Something about seeing a place so large like a city that was once bustling with people now only has the wind to give it life. I first got into it when I played STALKER for the first time way back when I was a kid. The gray colors, The dead trees, the rubble and rust. It interested me as much as nature does now. Ever since then I've always had a dream of going to Pripyat and seeing the history that is frozen in time. I even conjured a plan of sneaking in and exploring the city. I still wish to see it someday. I wonder what your favorite place in history is. If you're willing to share. I'd love to know.

I watch a lot of videos about dead malls - that is, malls which are either completely or mostly devoid of businesses due to malls falling out of favor as shopping locations. It's fascinating seeing places that used to be crawling with people at all hours reduced to hollow, echoing tombs.
