My doctor refused me benzos

Just went to my doctor to get the benzos for my sn and was refused them :-( didn't really expect that but I did move last year and have a new doctor. well fuck me. I guess I'll just take a couple extra of my zyprexas cause it does have a sedative effect.

that's pretty normal. many doctors will refuse benzos if you outright ask because they're addictive with a high potential of abuse. there's ways online on how to manipulate doctors and get prescribed benzos but ymmv. idk what country you're in but asking for them could also put you on a list of "doctor shoppers/drug seekers"

For me i got prescribed them by my regular doctor after a suicide attempt (temaze and valium) but even then the first psychiatrist i saw didn't want to give them when i was obviously distressed.

Well that's at least nice that the doctor gave them to you to help you feel better. I couldn't even get anxiety meds because everyone I went to tried telling me that's not what I needed, when it is. Sometimes I wish the doctors I went to just cared about me a little because maybe I would've gotten some level of help.

it's hard to find doctors that actually care about u, for so long i was fucked around by them, after my ctb attempt the psychiatrist i was seeing gave me melatonin

my regular doctor was recommended to me by a family friend who's also a doctor so i got lucky. and i have to pay to see him even tho i live in a country with free healthcare. it takes shopping around and money to find a decent doctor which sucks

Sorry to hear this. My dr is now refusing me amitriptyline- I think because I've mentioned suicidal thoughts before. My plan was to either OD on it or use it in conjunction with SN.
